1. What made you choose Karla Mason Boudoir?
I never thought of doing Boudoir pictures, until one day I happened to see an acquaintance share her photos that were done by Karla. I was so inspired to see a fellow Mama complete a session (and she looked amazing!). With tremendous hesitation, I contacted Karla for information. Upon speaking with her directly there was no question of if I was going to move forward, but how quickly I could book a session with this amazing lady! In a matter of minutes Karla was able to make me comfortable enough to spill the beans on disruptions in my life that left me with low self-esteem and classified as “damaged goods.” Her empathy, optimism and dedication to helping revive my confidence made working with her a no-brainier! Ultimately, I chose to work with Karla because she is genuine, deeply connected to her work and invested in her clientele.

 

2. What were you nervous about going into your session?
I was nervous about everything going into the session…everything. Stretch marks, blemishes, weight, hair, lingerie selection – you name it – I was worried about it. Most of all, I was terrified to see myself in the pictures with fear that I would not love what I saw. Somehow I still was able to work up the courage to complete the session. I am SO happy that I did!

 

3. What was your favorite part of the experience?
My favorite part of the experience was twofold; first, working with Karla and her amazing team was so much fun! From make-up and hair, to posing and picture-taking, to laughing and being goofy, it was such an awesome experience. Second (shouts to my Hubby), the reveal…my husband joined me for the Skype session with Karla and seeing his reaction was so wonderful, making the experience perfect!

 

4. How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?
Now that I’ve completed the session, I can confidently share that it was eye-opening to see myself in a new light. It is all too often that us ladies are super critical of ourselves, but this experience has enlightened my self perception and been a great confidence boost.

 

5. Would you recommend Karla Mason Boudoir to others?
If you’re not so sure about doing this type of thing or if you’re all in on boudoir, I highly recommend working with Karla. Either side of the spectrum, you will have fun, feel sexy and be so grateful that you did it. Thank you, Karla, for an excellent experience!
