1. What made you choose Karla Mason Boudoir?
I had been following Karla on her FB page for well over a year. I was absolutely amazed with how beautiful her pictures turned out! And I loved that her clients were of all different colors, shapes and sizes. I also loved that she had her own closet full of lingerie and her own hair and makeup artists. But what impressed me the most was that Karla was truly about making her clients feel good about themselves. I read her materials and watched her videos and saw that she was all about making her clients feel comfortable and making them feel beautiful just the way they are. That’s when I decided to put my insecurities aside and go for it!
2. What were you nervous about going into your session?
I was super excited going into my session and I think that kept some of my nervousness at bay, but that nervousness ramped up once I had my hair and makeup done and I walked into the studio. Don’t get me wrong, Karla was SUPER sweet and friendly and I was still really excited, but I think that’s when it really hit me that I was about to do this. I think I was most afraid of how I would look in my outfits. I am super self-conscious about my lower midsection (even though my hubby tells me I’m too sensitive) and the thought of certain outfits and angles and positions scared me. I was also afraid of not being able to pull off the sexy look. I smile non-stop so I knew having to do the sexy/pouty look would be a challenge.
3. What was your favorite part of the experience?
EVERYTHING!!! Karla was AMAZING from beginning to end! I had so much fun! I laughed and joked with Karla and the hair and makeup artists (who made me look FABULOUS) and the laughing continued on when Karla and I did the shoot. Karla was so full of energy and that energy passed right along to me. She made me feel comfortable (except when she sprayed me with cold water LOL), she showed me exactly what to do, and she kept telling me how gorgeous I was and what a great job I was doing, and that just made me get more and more into everything. I was honestly sad when it was all over.
4. How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?
As soon as my session was over, I called my husband and he asked me how it was. I told him three things. First, I told him that he had to take me out to dinner while I looked as great as I did. LOL Second, I told him that I felt really good about myself and that Karla made me feel so beautiful and confident. Finally, I told him that I already wanted to do it again!
Fast forward to having seen the photos, I’m even more confident in myself and more determined to get back to Karla’s studio for another session!!
5. Would you recommend Karla Mason Boudoir to others?
ABSOLUTELY!! My advice is…do not wait. As Karla said in one of her videos, do not wait until you lose 10 pounds or 20 pounds or whatever it is you think you need you do to look beautiful. Karla will not only make you look gorgeous in your photos, but she’ll make you truly FEEL beautiful.
