- What made you choose Karla Mason Boudoir?
As I was rounding that taboo age of 40 (eek!) I knew I wanted to do something for myself and I had always thought about surprising my husband with Boudoir photos. As a mom of 3 kids working a full time job and working on her Doctorate, I really needed to do something for me. I knew I wasn’t in the best shape of my life but I also heard how amazing Karla made you feel in your own skin. So I did some research by looking over her photos and pricing and knew she was the one. I ended up pulling the trigger when I saw her new client, Cyber Monday sale.
2. What were you nervous about going into your session?
I love food. Gimme some tacos and beer any day. Needless to say this doesn’t really translate into sexy lingerie photos ;) I was really nervous that my tummy would show, my C-section scar would be visible, I had bags under my eyes, I wouldn’t have the right poses or the proper outfits, and that my pics just wouldn’t come out the way I wanted them to. Every paranoia you can imagine had crossed my mind before doing this.
3. What was your favorite part of the experience?
This experience was so empowering and so amazing for me! I was greeted by Krala and her makeup team like we were best friends. The conversation was so easy and just flowed. I felt like a celebrity being doted on that morning. Karla was the best hype woman at telling me how amazing I was doing and showing me sneak peaks as we were going through the poses. I couldn’t believe that was me on camera! Through COVID I had gained weight, was stressed, and had so much on my mind but that day, it was all gone. I felt sexy, glamorous, desirable, empowered, and like I could take on any challenge that came my way! She made me feel comfortable and at ease through the entire session.
4. How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?
I am so confident in my skin. Each time I feel a bit down or frumpy, I look at my pics and I’m like, I got this!! These pictures are a constant reminder of how amazing I am!
5. Would you recommend Karla Mason Boudoir to others?
110%!! Karla has a true gift when it comes to not only taking amazing pictures but providing such a warm and inviting atmosphere where you feel comfortable. There was never anything I wasn’t comfortable doing. She gave me plenty of product options and bundles as well as financing options. When I came to pick up my products I also got a goody bag! It was so thoughtful and unexpected! She is truly the best!
