1. What made you choose Karla Mason Boudoir?

A friend of mine had a boudoir shoot with Karla about a year ago. This friend posted a couple of her pictures to Instagram and I was immediately mesmerized. I asked my friend about her experience and she told me all about Karla and how much she recommended her. I reached out to Karla and booked a session before I could chicken out, and I’m so glad that I did! Karla was very easy to communicate with via both email and phone.

2. What were you nervous about going into your session?

I was mostly nervous that I was going to look awkward in the pictures because this was something that was totally out of my comfort zone, and I “didn’t know what to do.” I definitely didn’t have any cute or sexy lingerie. I also had my own personal insecurities which I shared with Karla. A big help was the information packet that Karla shared at the time I booked my session. It gave me a lot of helpful hints like hydrating, stretching, cleaning my feet (which I joked about!) beforehand, and not to show up early to the session (which was good for me to know because I am ALWAYS early)! Karla is so down-to-earth, and I immensely appreciated her honesty!

3. What was your favorite part of the experience?

I felt like a queen! Karla and her makeup artist were so personable. I enjoyed chatting with them while getting ready. They eased my anxieties about doing this and they truly made me feel empowered. Also, and this sounds kind of weird, but I enjoyed how “sore” I felt the next day (if you’ve done this before – you know what I’m talking about!). It reminded me that I am a hardworking woman who took time for myself and practiced self care.

4. How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?

I truly feel like a more well-rounded wife, mom, and friend after participating in boudoir. I am usually a very private person, so just the thought of having experienced boudoir makes me feel like it’s my little secret that only a few people know :) Doing this session definitely boosted my self confidence, too!

5. Would you recommend Karla Mason Boudoir to others?

I would definitely recommend Karla Mason Boudoir to anyone!
