1. What made you choose Karla Mason Boudoir?

A friend of mine told me about Karla Mason Boudoir’s Instagram page. When I saw her amazing work, professionalism, and how she made people of all sizes feel comfortable and beautiful, I decided to do the shoot. Behind the lens, Karla’s has the eye to capture someone’s beauty in a way that they themselves don’t see.

2. What were you nervous about going into your session?

Going into the session, I was very nervous about baring my insecurities on camera. As a woman, there are cultural expectations that I feel I don’t meet and in March of 2019 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that made me even more self-conscious of my imperfections. My anxiety and nerves had me literally trying to hold back tears a couple of times. We can be very hard on ourselves. However, Karla was easygoing and reassured me every step of the way.

3. What was your favorite part of the experience?

My favorite part of the experience was EVERYTHING! Jeet, the make-up artist, did such a great job on my hair and makeup. I felt like a doll! The shoot began and Karla gave me pointers and posed me throughout. With each pose and picture I felt more confident. I left that day feeling celebrated, sexy, and joyful.   

4. How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?

Now that I have completed the session, I feel like I need to do it again. Honestly! When I see the latest session recaps and new lingerie, I’m like “I want to experience that again!”

5. Would you recommend Karla Mason Boudoir to others?

I would absolutely recommend Karla Mason Boudoir to others! Karla and her team are great, you will not regret it! Let’s celebrate ourselves and our bodies. We are art. We are beautiful. Words cannot express my gratitude for this experience!
