1. What made you choose Karla Mason Boudoir?
Browsing through Karla’s Instagram page I could immediately see she has a gifted eye and a talent to showcase just how beautiful and strong all women are. I was drawn to her use of light, style and editorial ability to bring out the very essence of what it means to be a strong and powerful female.
2. What were you nervous about going into your session?
What wasn’t I nervous about? The second I walked in the door the nerves all floated away, it was a day filled with laughter, fun and glam. I had complete trust that Karla knew exactly how to bring out the very best in me, I wasn’t disappointed. I simply reminded myself to have fun and enjoy the pampering, Karla would do the rest. She exceeded my expectations on every level.
3. What was your favorite part of the experience?
The best part was feeling comfortable enough to just let my insecurities and guard down transforming into who I knew was deep inside of me. Embracing the body I have today as strong and beautiful.
It was all superb, from top to bottom.
4. How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?
Going into this session with Karla I was looking to reclaim my self worth, to repair the trauma that years of infertility treatments have caused both physical and mentally. The loss I’ve carried and the pain I’ve endured after being told I was unable to create, grow or even carry a child gutted my identity as a woman in ways I never imagined possible. When science nor doctors failed to find a solution, I fell deeper into despair and that sadly spilled over into my marriage.
Going through this process with Karla wasn’t simply about looking beautiful in pictures, for me it was finally being able to see myself, both inwardly and outwardly for the strong, confident and fierce woman I was and still am.
Giving these images to my husband for our wedding anniversary was my way of telling him thank you for never giving up on me, for loving all of me, flaws, imperfections and more importantly through the pain we’ve both endured trying to build our family. Through it all he has always seen me the way Karla was able to capture in these gorgeous shots, but now I have proof to finally see myself through his eyes.
5. Would you recommend Karla Mason Boudoir to others?
Absolutely, whether you want a fun girls day filled with glam and pampering, looking to repair and reclaim your identity after a traumatic experience or simply wanting to give your partner a stunning gift…whatever your purpose I couldn’t recommend Karla enough. She goes above and beyond to provide every client with a first class experience. From her incredibly talented hair and makeup teams, to her stunning wardrobe selections and her welcoming home/studio it was all simply perfection.
